After looking over all the aspects of the project in progress, I would submit the plan to the sponsor of the project and verify if he or she supports the plan. With the main plan in place, I would be able to go about creating a change management plan which would open possible solutions that fit the risks of the plan. In regards to potential risks for a plan such as a picnic, the possibilities include things like vendors such as caterers not showing up for an event. This risk would ultimately have a huge impact on the event in a negative way, although this could be turned around and be a positive one without the plan becoming too complicated. The solution would be to look up two other caterers in the same price range who can perform the event. By having potential vendors in case of an emergency, the risk could be rewarded and these caterers may prepare even better food. In regards to avoiding scope creep, only one would be selected in case of a sudden change like the original caterers canceling the order.
