After reading chapter 9 and understanding the many factors associated with the challenges common to college and career it further illustrates personal sacrifices and growth associated with my academic performance. For me to be successful in both my academic and career path I need to invest a lot of time and attention to my studies. There are three variables that make up Academic Complexity. Capability has been a struggle for me not only in my academic career but also in my career. When I am faced with learning new material in college, I find that I struggle with completely understanding the meaning behind it. I try to dissect the material and use resources to assist if needed. When more than one professor assigns projects, on top of regular homework, it can be overwhelming and time consuming. I find that my capacity level is narrow when added projects are assigned. While I do work full-time and attend college part-time, my activity level for outside leisure activities is very slim to almost non-existent. I spend most of my free time with other household priorities
