After reviewing the presentation it is my opinion that affirmative action is still an important tool in combating racial, gender and other forms of discrimination in the workplace. While the goals of affirmative action are noble and have accomplished much, there is still more work to be done. Affirmative action can help to level the playing field by providing opportunities to those who otherwise may not have had access to them, but it cannot undo systemic inequalities or guarantee success for individuals. That being said, affirmative action programs must be continually evaluated and adjusted to ensure that progress towards a truly diverse and equitable workplace is made.
