After two-years of work together, the collaboration between Salud and CU-Medicine was discontinued. Among the problems confronted by the two partners were: lack of agreement regarding how to address operational and financial problems experienced with the jointly-operated clinic, particularly as planning was underway to build a new site for expanded clinical operations; and lack of agreement regarding priorities and strategies for addressing the non-medical needs of community CU-Medicine is continuing to pursue options for developing and implementing the Aurora Community Health Commons, including by pursing partnerships with other Aurora community organizations and identifying an alternative site for operating its own federally qualified health center.
