Ahmed, a Muscat resident, wants to sell his house and advertises it in Times of Oman at 150,000 Reals. Omar saw the advertisement and immediately called Ahmed and made an appointment to see the house. Omar liked the house, but he found the price to be too expensive. Hle told Ahmed that he can only buy the house for 140,000. Ahmed responded that he cannot sell his house for that price but can give him few days to think through it. They shook hands and parted. The next morning, Ahmed changed his mind and called Omar to tell him that he will sell the house for 140,000 if he could pay the full price within fifleen days. Omar did not hesitate to agree. The two were both delighted and agreed to have dinner together that same day. They invited a couple of friends each and celebrated their deal with a wonderful dinner. Afler five days, Omar learns from Ahmed's cousin that Ahmed had already sold the house to Yaqosb, To add to Omar's outrage, Ahmed sold the house for much lower price than what Omar had offered- just for 110,000 reals. Omar couldn't believe what he heard. He went straight to Ahmed's house to confirm. As soon as they met, Omar yelled at Ahmed "is it true that you have sold the house, betraying our deal?" Ahmed contemptuously replied "yes, buddy. Sorry. Omar wants to sue Ahmed, and you are his lawyer. Advise Omar.
