Ahmed owns an auto repair garage and wants to automate some of the processes in his garage by developing an Auto Repair Information System (ARIS). When a customer comes to Ahmeds garage, he submits an online request for repair by using one of the computer kiosk. The customer request is added as a new request to the queue of already submitted repair requests by other customers and is assigned a service number by ARIS. All repair requests with their current status are displayed on a garage monitor. When the customer turns come, a serviceman updates the status of the repair request queue by changing the repair request status to in progress. After checking the customer automobile and diagnosing the problem, the serviceman enters the diagnosis details into ARIS for the request. If the customer agrees, the serviceman performs the repairs and updates the status of the repair request to be completed. The customer has two options to pay for the services. He can pay by cash or pay by bank card. In both cases, the amount is determined from the diagnosis and repair details entered by the serviceman. If the customer pays by a bank card, the card information is sent to the bank for verification and, if approved, payment is completed, otherwise the customer is notified about the card issue. In both payment cases, the receipt is provided to the customer on successful payment and the transaction details are stored by ARIS for future report generation.
