A customer places an order, and the order processing begins. The system waits for either a cancellation request from the customer or a $24-$hour period to elapse. If a cancellation request is received within $24$ hours, the order is canceled, and a cancellation confirmation is sent to the customer. If no cancellation request is received within $24$ hours, the order proceeds to shipping and is sent to the customer.
