All students are to create a schedule for the season that is to be distributed to the team, staff and administration. I recommend getting a calendar template and typing it into each frame. The schedule will start August 24th 2020 and end May 14th 2021. Include all team meetings, community service engagements, scout times, individual or small group film sessions, daily practice, weekly lifting, study halls, advising, registration, off days, holidays. This is completely up to you on times, biggest thing is making sure that it is consistent for the most part with routine. Imagine you have your own team and how would you like them conducting workouts or practice as a student athlete.
- Preseason Workouts: Cannot start workouts until August 31st. You get 8 hours of team time during each week. There must be at least oneoff day. You cannot exceed 4 hours on the floor or 4 hours in the weight room. You can choose how youd like to arrange each week. Pre-Season workouts go all the way up until the first day of practice which is October 15th
- Practice: You get 20 hours every week (This includes weight room) there must be one off day every week.
- Post Season: Whenever you choose to conclude your season on your schedule which is completely up to you, you must have two weeks of nothing with the team. Once that two or three weeks after your last contest has completed you may start up post season workouts. Again, you can choose how long you want the break to be and how far you go into tournament. Make sure to add a separate sheet for preseason and post season small groups. Traditionally teams have 3 or 4 groups separated by position for these workouts. Once May 14th hits then you no longer can do workouts with the team until the next school year begins.
- Same thing applies as preseason. 8 hours total every week, no longer than 4 hours on the floor or 4 hours in the weight room.
- You can get creative for post season and pre-season on how youd like to manage your own 8 hours in each week.
