Although I see the benefits of insourcing as described in the textbook, that managers often have concerns that "if they outsource a core competency, they risk losing control over it or losing contact with providers who can help them remaining innovative in relation to that competency" (Pearlson et al), I can also see how it can be useful to outsource when the organization's abilities are limited
