Amazon has agreed to buy Zoox, a business that develops self-driving cars from the scratch with a robotaxi services in goal. Since neither business announced the parameters of the agreement, it is estimated to be worth more than $1 billion.

What is less than Zoox's last round of fundraising in 2018, that was valued at $3.2 billion.

And, as it develops and tests its technology, goods, and services, Amazon will have to put a lot more money into the unprofitable sector. But Amazon's Zoox expenditures might start paying off for shareholders considerably sooner than other businesses' autonomous car endeavors.

However, Amazon's ability to combine Zoox's tech with its ongoing activities, particularly its increasing logistics network, will determine the true worth of the acquisition.
