AMC Auto Industries, Inc. (AMC), an electric automobile manufacturing company that has 50 employees, hired two automotive engineers, Meadow, a 39-year-old woman and Aaron, a 29-year-old man who were hired because of their excellent credentials. Both Meadow and Aaron had a written and signed two-year contract with AMC. Three months after Meadow and Aaron starting working, Aaron got into a fight with a longtime employee, Jim, and punched him in the face, breaking Jim's jaw. Consequently, AMC terminated Aarons' employment. Soon after, Shane discovered that due to her Type I diabetes, Meadow must perform a small skin prick on her finger, several times a day, to test her blood sugar levels. The test does not take much time and Meadow completes her work in a timely manner, but Shane worries that co-workers are distracted by this activity. As a result, AMC terminated Meadow's employment as well.
