Among the secondary sources of Shariah are Urf (custom), Maslah mursalah (public interest) and Sadd Dharai' (blocking the means). However, the problem arises when Muslims, in some societies, interpret the above concepts in their own way. The followings are some of those examples:

-Demanding from the Mudharib (capital manager) to guarantee at least half of the invested capital in case of a total loss of the business, arguing that contemporary Muslims deserve strictness as they are not trustworthy as they used to be in the early days of Islam = (Sudd Dharai'). Besides this is what our"people of sound nature"accepted = (Urf), and finally it's a necessary measure for investors' confidence = (Maslaha Mursalah)
