An 88 year old male was seen in the physicians office complaining of dyspnea, dizziness, orthopnea, elevated temperature, and a productive cough. Lung auscultation revealed rales over the right lower lobe. CXR revealed fluid in the RLL. The patient was sent to the hospital with an admitting diagnosis of pneumonia. Vital signs upon admission were: Temperature 102oF, heart rate 110 bpm, respirations 24bpm and labored, BP 80/50 mmHg. he is treated with IV antibiotics and mucolytics. he responded well to treatment and was released home to his family on the third day
