An architect plans to build a house and he has 3 lots, A,B, and C. The architect is concerned with 2 aspects of these lots, the location and the type of soil. The architect thinks that the type of soil is 2 times more important than the location he also think that the soil of lot A is 2 times better than that of B. That B is 2 times better than that C and that of A 3.5 times better than that of C. The architect thinks that the location of lot C is 2 times better than that of B. That B is 3 times better than that of A and that of C is 6 time better than that of A.

Using analytic hierarchy processes he determines the following:

a) the diagram that describes the problem.

b) the tables that express the preference of the architect.

c) the decision to be made by the architect.
