1. Introduction:
   1. Your introduction should start or end with a thesis statement (your main argument) and a summary of the topic.
2. Body paragraphs:
   1. The body paragraphs of your essay should demonstrate logos and pathos (see Week 4 materials on Blackboard):
      1. Logos: Make a logical case for your argument (facts, studies)
      2. Pathos: Make an emotional case for your argument (testimony)
   2. If you do diligent research and format your assignment correctly, you will meet the expectations for ethos.
3. Conclusion:
   1. The conclusion should restate/summarize your argument and, perhaps, point to next steps.
