An electric power distribution company wanted to explore the main reasons causing electric problems in the distribution system. The company collected within 24 months, the following failure causes along with their frequencies: Earth fault (38), 33kV line failures (118), Animal like bird, snake,... etc (1), Fuse closure (38), Load shedding (125), Broken pole (3), Maintenance/repairs (6), Over current (3), Wire cut (5), and unknown (1). Use Pareto analysis to find out the main causes for electric problems in the electrical power distribution system.
