An experiment is designed to test the effects of two different fertilizers on the production of pecans. Eighteen randomly selected rows of pecan trees were treated with fertilizer A and 16 randomly selected rows of pecan trees were treated with fertilizer B. The number of pounds of pecans was measured at the end of the growing season for each row. Sample statistics are listed in the table. Assume that the population number of pounds of pecans per row is approximately normal for each group.
