An illiterate farmer signed a contract to supply maize to a Milling Company with a clause stating that there should be no price increase for three years. But after a week, the illiterate farmer informs the Milling Company of his intentions to increase the price as the farmer was not aware about the existence of the clause. The Milling Company informed the farmer that he was bound by the clause but the farmer was reluctant to supply the maize for fear of suffering losses.
