An indoor air quality investigation has revealed the sample results (below) in an office setting where occupants are complaining of poor indoor air quality: 1400-1700 ppm carbon dioxide 62-78% relative humidity .075 ppm formaldehyde (direct reading colorimetric tube) 375 - 520 counts/m3 total airborne mold spores inside 9,680 - 12,250 counts/m3 total airborne mold spores outside Even though most indoor air quality guidelines recommend that the ventilation system be evaluated, such an evaluation has not yet been performed.

2. What do you tell the business owner about these findings as they relate to potential worker health and/or productivity?
3. Should these exposures be compared to regulatory exposure limits?
