An online survey of students in a large MBA Economics class at a business school in the northeastern United States asked them to report their total personal investment in savings bonds ($), total number of shares of bonds currently held, total invested in mutual funds ($), and the name of each mutual fund in which they have invested. The data were used in the aggregate for classroom illustrations
