(a) Anna and Emmy have been friends since their college years. Emmy works as an inventory warehouse manager at an electronics company while Anna was recently fired from Beggy Company. (b) At Samsu Company, almost all the transaction processes were automated. When an inventory item reaches its reorder point, the computer automatically generates a purchase order for the economic order quantity (EOQ). Darwin, a programmer, was in collusion with one of Samsu’s vendors. Darwin altered the computer program and inventory master data. He reduced the EOQ and made alterations to the program so that items supplied by this vendor would be ordered more often than necessary.

(c) wRom is employed in the Human Resources Department at Toshi Company. From his computer, he can access the order entry system at the company and entered some orders for goods to be shipped to Anna, one of his friends.

(d) Gabbie, the company’s cashier, was known as a workaholic and has been working for the company for four years now. After a major celebration, she suffered from alcohol poisoning and was incapacitated for several days. While she was out, Kyle, the treasurer, temporarily assumed her duties and discovered that Gabbie has been misappropriating tens of thousands of pesos since she was hired.

(e) Gillian was working for a company located in Manila. She was keying data at one of the computers in the sales department. After about an hour of data entry, it suddenly rained and the power supply from Meralco was cut off causing a company-wide power failure. When the power was restored, Gillian had to re-enter all the data from the beginning.
