(b) TouchLet tablets - Provided on worksheet (b) is a summary of inventory-related activity for TouchLet tablets during 2021. All Non-Promo sales were recorded at the same sales price of $495 per unit, recorded in the Revenue TouchLet account. Revenue from TouchLets sold under the promo package (see paragraph (d) below) were included in the amount recorded in Revenue Promo. All inventory was purchased on credit, and was recorded immediately in the COGS TouchLet account. The $42,750 value of the TouchLet tablets counted at the end of 2020 was recorded in the Inventory TouchLet account, which was not changed during 2021.
(d) Promotion Revenue - TouchBase management wants the revenue originally recorded in the Revenue - Promo account divided among the parts attributable to TouchTop laptops, TouchLet tablets (both reported as product revenue/COGS), and Extended Warranty revenue (reported as part of service revenue/COS. The Revenue Promo account will no longer be used. Hint: the sales quantities of each under the promotion were included on worksheets (a)-(c).
