Analyze a business that has recently been in the news for either something good or something not so good. Students will need to give an overview of a recent news event impacting that company and explain how the head of the company led his or her company to respond to the event. After this, students must critically analyze how effective was the leader's response to the situation.

FIRST PART:

Select a Canadian business, that has been in the news in the last two years

1. Provide details about the business chosen, including type of business, leadership, and longevity.

2. Explain in your OWN words the reasons for the news event

3. Detail what the leadership of the company did during the situation (Use the company's website and news article).

SECOND PART:

Analyze the leader of the company based on what you know so far about leadership 

1. What leadership traits did the leader of the company exhibit?

2. What were their strengths?

3. What were their weaknesses?

4. Did they effectively lead the company during the impact?

THIRD PART:

How would you have handled the situation differently?
