The average amount of spending for the first week was around $18.10 a day. The amount of spending for the second week was around $5.23 a day. From week one to week two I spent about thirteen dollars less a day. I noticed a significant decrease in my spending in the second week after implementing my budget. From the baseline phase to the intervention phase, I started with small changes like packing my own lunch, and not eating out as much. My progress started out really strong. I came up with several ideas on how to save money and not spend as much when I had to spend. In the second week, I created a family budget that allowed me to see where a lot of excess spending was happening. After implementing the detailed budget and practicing conscious spending habits, I significantly reduced my non-bill related expenses.
