b. As an avid skateboarder, Angelo decided to invest in VF Corp, the parent company to Vans. He purchased 100 shares in July 2021 for $77 per share. The stock continued to fall, until he decided to cut his losses this year. He sold all 100 shares in June 2023 for $18 per share.
c. Last year (tax year 2022) Angelo decided to invest in the bond market. He invested $150,000 in Netflix Inc bonds that pay 4.86% annual interest, and $50,000 invested in California municipal bonds that pay 4% annual interest.
d. In his free time Angelo likes to play the guitar and the harmonica in a band with his friends. Every Saturday night they perform at a local bar, and over the year he accumulated $1,560 in tips. He also spent $44 on guitar strings and $260 on gas to and from the bar each weekend.
e. During 2023 he paid interest of $2,712 related to his student loans from SDSU.
