Under the apprenticeship, Jamie would teach Angus how to build, repair and sell computers to customers. In return, Angus would promise not to work for any other computer shop in Alpha for one year if and when he ceasesworking at Jamie'scomputer shop.

Excited by the opportunity to develop his skills, Angus leaves school and starts the apprenticeship with Jamie. Eighteen months into the apprenticeship however, Angus quits his job and accepts a higher paid, full-time position working at the only other computer store in Alpha, managed by Barry.
