Another Brick in the Wall (ABW) isthe biggest residential developer in Australia. Since April 2022, the company has been contemplating the possibility of buying 10 hectares of land located in a former industrial area in the northwest of Melbourne. However, some ABW directors have reservations about buying the land, because a pulp mill and a paint factory previously operated on the land (until the late 90s).

Recognising that thepotential contamination of the site by the mill and paint factory posed a significant risk, ABW's board of directors decided that before making a bid for the land, they would engage a firm of engineers to advise on pollution levels and the potential of the site. Thus, over the past 2 weeks, a senior manager at ABW, Juan,has been negotiating with two well-known engineeringcompanies:AirupandPlusTec.
