Increase money supply and/or economic activity B. Decrease money supply and/or economic activity 1.Everyone decides to buy me a Christmas present and millions of extra dollars are spent. 2. The government increases taxes. 3. The Federal Reserve sells government securities. 4. People are fearful of economic conditions, refuse to invest, and put all their funds into savings. 5. The government spends billions of dollars on new projects. 6. There is a boom in business expansion and investment. 7. The Federal Reserve lowers the discount rate to member's banks. 8.Everyone goes out and buys the house or car of their dreams. 9 . Everyone is mad at everyone and no one buys a Christmas gift. 10. The Federal Reserve uses a selective control to ease money. 11. The Federal Reserve raises the reserve requirement. 12. Foreign countries like Japan increase their purchases from the U.S. 13. The government changes the tax rates so you pay less in taxes. 14.OPEC cuts back production, drastically raising crude oil prices to the U.S. market. 15.We become involved in another military conflict requiring increased defense spending. 16.
