1)Should college tuition in Texas be free, and are any colleges or universities cunentty uttering tree tuition in Texas? I believe educaon is important and life changing and everyone should have the opportunity to partake, but as with most things ttrat are oered free there should be provisions. I think making itfree for everyone, it might loose it's importance and value. Like public school that is oered tor tree some students attend only cause they have to by law or for the sake ofa parents rules and the studentthem selt does not care and iust blows itounti they can escape and do their own thing. In thatsame way Ithink itwill have a large number that arefree and wasted on students that williust drop out. So, maybe tree as long as you keep up a high GPA. have good attendance, work with adv'sers each semester. As tor Texas colleges that otter free tuition at this time there are 12 but you have to fall in to a economic bracket to quality. 2) Expla'n the pros and cons otfree college tuition including the cost and benets to society. The pros- more people could have ttre opportunity to attend the college at their choice students could graduate debt free and not have to wony about spending half their ite paying it back students could have more time to study with out having to wony about working to pay tor each semester students could nish faster because maybe they could aord to take more classes each semester could lower unemployment rates pressure on students could decrease The cons where would the tunding for this come from, who would be the one toot'ng the bill (tax payer?) who is making sure the teachers are getting paid properly it will decrease the value at eduration [I think when you have to pay for the education, you have a tendency to work harder] the drop out rate would probably rise 3) Since there denitely is a costto providing a college education, who would pay for these cost ittuilion is free'ilI I believe that the cost would go to tax payers, this could cause problems especially as the drop out rate rises, because not everyone is meant for college and students feel that wit non cost there is no consequences to there failer. 4) What would happen to the number of students enrolled in college, and how would this 'rnpact college campuses? There would be a huge impad in enrollment, caus'ng an over population of student and a shortage of space tor students that are serious about their education. Colleges would ll up quickly, making it harder for students that value their education to get in, maybe where they want or at all. Just because it is free does not mean that there is more space and more slots available. We would have to have more colega and more teachers because the population would increase dramatic at least at rst. 5) Would tree tuition decrease the value of a college education? Explain why or why not. Yes, overall I do believe it would decrease the value ofeducation, but also still only tme hard workers would gradate, so there for it could remain the same. Just because everyone has the opportunity does not mean that every one it pass and graduate, you still have to put in the hard work. So, actually I an 50150 on this answer, it could go either way. 6) The above points are just a tew relating to the topic otfree college tuition. What other points not mentioned above do you think should be considered when discussing the possibility at free college tuition and why? lthinkthat some good points to look at are that there would be a lot less pressure on student, more families would have access to college. Students would get the opportunity to try out more iob options. Students from poor families would have the opportunity to go to the colleges oftheir choice, and not be held back because they do not have the money for it. The opportunity could utter a better chance at a life that they want, without starting it in a massive amount of debt. Should colhge tuition in Texas be free, and are any colleges or universities currently offering free tuition in Texas? In my opinion, Texas shouldn't free college tuition any university or college. Instead of tree tuition for all, we can giving a scholarship for international student as well as US student to study. Explain the pros and cons offree college tuition, including the costs and benets to society. Cons of free college tuition: The quaity ofcollege education will decrease in the future because the school hasn't enough money to update an equipment to support students duling studying a college. For example, most ofoollege has a program to help the students (an hire a laptop or ipad to study. Each laptop or ipad can have a price around $700759lm. Suppose a school have 5,000 student need a laptop, the school will pay nearly 4 milliors to help student hiring tree. That cost is an expensive, and no one will return a cost for school. In the future, the school can't have money to update a newest technology for studenh. {I supposed a laptoptipad has $700). Maybe, the professor in the public college or universities will not better than private school. The reason because the private school will pay more money to hire a good professor in the U.S to teach in the school. Pros of free college tuition: The lirst thing we can see that, loans udent or debts for studying in the university or college will decrease. According to CNBC: "The Federal Reserve estimates that in quarter two of 2021, Americans owed a startling $113 trillion in student loans" (Hess). When ltlese number decrease, lower debt will go down too. It will lead directly to help lower income family to have an opportunity to go to school. Since there denitely is a costlo providing a college education, who would pay for these costs iftuition is "'free'? My answer is taxpayer. Taxpayer will include the person who in working age or employment. The taxpayer will pay more taxa ble to have a free tuition. The government will use a tax to pay a free college tuition. What would happen to the number at students enrolled in college. and how would this impact college campus? It will impact on the the area of study and the time of professor teach. With the huge ofstudents enroll in college, the campus will larger than the small campus like Dallas College or University ofTexas at Dalas. Universitywill have more area to build a building to support udents to have a place to study. Aha, the huge numberotudents enroll in college will affect the time of protessor , or the Would free tuition decrease the value of a college education? Explain why or why not. In my opnion, itcan be occur. The schools haven't enough money to update new teclmoklgy for student. Like I said a question number two, the school will pay too much money to help student hiling free instead of paying free. Furthermore, the schools will pay that by sell because the government just have "free college tuition\". When the technoly account for too much in the budget. the salary of professor can be go down. When the professor see a money to go down, and it isn't worthy of doing for students. A good professor will change from public to plivate college or university. The above points are just a few relating to the topic of tree college tuition. What other points not mentioned above do you thinlr should be considered when discussing the possibility of free college tuition, and why? With me, we should discu$ who eligibile to receive a free tuition. Furthermore, how mud! the government wil spend a tax from taxpayer to maintain free college tuilio n. Hess, Abigail Johnson. 'The U. S. has a record-breaking $1.73 trillion in student debt borrowers ti'om these states ow the most on average", CNBC, 9 September 2021, htlps wawcnbc comf2021IUSFDSIamerica-hastpoint73-trillion-in- studentsdehlhorrowerssfromstheseislatessoweilhermost ltl.lTIl#Z"' textln'chUthe %2UUniled%ZDSlates%2C%Zstudent,%241 T3%201ri||ion%2in%ZUstuderd%2l]loans . A/ Victor Hug, un poete francais, disait a son epoque qu'une ecole ouverte correspond a une prison fermee. Cette idee sous-entend l'importance de l'education dans la vie d'une societe. Donc pour moi le college gratuit est plus important que l'affectation des sommes colossales dans la police car plus le peuple est eduque plus il va se mettre au travail et etre plus productifs. Surtout dans le cas de Texas qui est un Etat essentiellement industriel, l'education gratuite augmenterai aussi la productivity de l'economie de Texas.
