Answer this question using IRAC method. Use relevent case law for medical law
Benedict, aged 13, went to see his GP (Dr Singh) in order to get vaccinated for Monkeypox as there has been a severe outbreak at his school and he is quite concerned about the potential long-term damage and possible sterility that this disease can cause. Benedict is being raised by a single mother, Susan, who is against all forms of vaccination as she does not understand how they work and is scared that injecting her son with harsh chemicals will be damaging. Dr Singh explained how the vaccine works, and then told Benedict that he should talk to Susan first and get her to agree, but that Benedict can get the vaccination if he wants. When he got home, Benedict told Susan that he would be getting the vaccine and that Dr Singh already agreed to give him the shot. Susan was furious and went down to the GP practice, telling Dr Singh that she refused to allow Benedict, who is only a little boy, to get shot full of untested chemicals, and if it meant that he would get a little sick then she will take care of him. Dr Singh informed Susan that Benedict had been made aware of the risks and that the final decision on whether to get vaccinated is Benedict's alone.
