We have been contacted by a client, Ms Joanne Jones, who is seeking our advice in relation to a charge of murder. I have had a brief conversation with her, and the following is what we know about her case so far: Joanne Jones was walking home from cricket practice one day when she met Shazia Khan. Out of nowhere, Ms Khan said to Ms Jones, 'You should split up with your boyfriend, Harry, because you can do better.' Ms Jones became very angry and lost her self-control. While angry, she embarked on a frenzied attack on Ms Khan, hitting Ms Khan's head repeatedly with the cricket bat. Ms Khan died as a result of the incident. The police have arrested Ms Jones and charged her with murder.
