Relationship between the variables: L = (1 sin 0 if L >> x then you can use the approximation sin 0 = x/L thus: A = dx/L in this experiment we can not use this approximation, so we will calculate E) = tan'1 (x/L) (a) Use the ruler to take accurate measurements of x, (from the intensity graph) L, d for three different wavelengths (colors) of light. Tabulate data. Analysis (a) Calculate the wavelength of light for each of your three colors. Comment on the accuracy of your results, are you within a reasonable % difference between your values and the approximate accepted 1. values? (b) Neatly sketch an interference intensity pattern as a functi0n of the position along the screen for one of your wavelengths and describe qualitatively how the intensity pattern (value of x) changes when you vary the wavelength (7L) of the light.
