Apple has more cash than any company in the world. So why do they issues bonds (borrow money)? Simple most of their cash is overseas where it's earned. If they bring it back to the U.S. they will have to pay additional taxes on that money.

As a result for several years they have issued bonds, debt, to buy back stock and issue dividends to shareholders. Why would a company do this?

Therefore if you were the CFO and or CEO would you do the same? If so why, if not why wouldn't you?
