Whenever they introduce a new product (whether it's a new version of their iPhone or the iPad Mini line extension) or they just continue to market their current products, they always seems to hit the right balance of marketing efforts against directly the consumer, the dealer network and the media. They truly follow a well-thought out integrated marketing communications plan. Their marketing efforts basically fall into the five (5) buckets noted below: Five Elements: 1.) traditional advertising vehicles (TV, magazines, etc.), 2.) online media (internet), 3.) personal selling, 4.) sales promotion, 5.) public relations Assume that you are a marketing manager at Apple and have been asked to provide to the Apple Board of Directors a brief summary of each of these elements in terms of the overall strategy or philosophy that Apple uses when it introduces one of its new products or a line extension of an existing one.
