Develop a strategy for communicating high expectations to someone you lead but do not like. Analyze what expectations you have for that person now and how you communicate these expectations. Identify steps that you can take to create a positive Pygmalion Effect. Is it possible to modify your expectations? To mask your negative feelings? Write up your conclusions.
Describe how one of your leaders communicates expectations to you. What kinds of expectations does she or he have of you? Are they positive or negative? How does this person communicate these expectancies? How can you use the Galatea Effect to shape this person's expectations if they are low? Evaluate the behaviors of both yourself and your leader and offer suggestions for improvement.
Your response to this activity should between 750 and 1000 words (the equivalent of 3 to 4 double-spaced pages). Be sure to proofread your work carefully for correct spelling, grammar, and usage.Grammar and punctuation count toward your activitygrade.
