"Around 23rd minute of the video, Judith Butler talks about inequality among gay and lesbians. She mentioned that being an activist, the equality principle applies differently. Same gender couple have issues owning properties and land, this inequality doesn't apply towards a straight couple. Angela Davis mentioned, "there has always been push for assimilation, why do we have to assume that existing standards are the ones we have to ascend." There is a serious debate among society that the men and women should stick to their gender given from birth. Traditional beliefs are still hindering the abilities of our society where the marriage between similar gender couple is considered illegal."
