As a manager at Bounce Fitness one of your staff (receptionist), Tracy, has come to you with an issue regarding one of the trainers, Brian. Tracy informs you that Brian is not treating her with respect and is asking her to do more and more of his organisation of one-on-one training sessions with his personal clients. Tracy's job is to handle all walk-in clients, answer telephones, take messages and sell products from the reception desk. It is not part of her job to be a secretary for any one trainer.
Although, she doesn't mind helping some trainers organise training sessions occasionally, she feels that Brian now expects this from her all the time. She claims that on several occasions Brian has told her that it is part of her job and she should stop complaining about it. Tracy now feels disrespected by Brian, and even worse, she finds that she is not always able to finish all of her own tasks, because she spends too much time doing things for Brian.
1.7. Develop a process for the conflict management of this issue. The process must be specific to this situation and explain what you (as the manager), Tracy and Brian need to do to resolve the issue according to Bounce Fitness policies. (Must be at least 7 stages with explanations of each stage) | |
