As a member of a close knit family, I loaned my credit card to my mother for some car repairs. However, this month I got a bill for $3000 for a series of charges to Pottery Barn that mom made. I tell Mom to never use my card again. Unfortunately, she had written down the number and gets on Overstock.com and buys $7000.00 of clothes the next month. Will I have to pay the bill for the clothes since I told her not to use the card? Why or why not? What law applies?
