As a paralegal, you are required to write a number of documents. Based on the following situation, write a memo to your immediate supervisor, Valerie Locke, who is the manager of the Paralegal Department (Toronto Office) at Centennial Associates. You are a paralegal working at Centennial Associates. Twenty employees in your paralegal office, which includes yourself, have formed a softball team and have arranged to play in an out of town tournament next weekend. You have two requests: first, the team would like permission to leave the office early on the Friday before the weekend tournament; second, the team asks that the company cover the costs of travel to the tournament and accommodations for the weekend for the team. You estimate expenses will run to $1,000 for the weekend. In return, the team will wear the company's name on the back of their uniforms as a form of advertising promotion for Centennial Associates. The team also agrees to work extra hours for the time missed on the Friday. Paralegal responsibilities to clients will not be disrupted by this event. Since registrations have to be submitted this week, you are hoping for a timely response. Use the date that the assignment is due.
