As a project manager of a construction company, I could be in possession of a significant amount of documentation about my company's operations. If the company could be involved in any litigation involving documentation that I hold, I would be obligated not to alter or destroy these documents. Even if I knew these documents had information that could hurt my company, I could cause other issues by destroying them. If found, the company and individuals could be punished legally, and I could be prosecuted for criminal obstruction. 

Even if that punishment is extreme other issues could arise, such as sanctions or courts can force my company to pay the lawyer fees of the other party involved (Prenkert et al., 2022). 

The concept of discarding or altering documents to protect a wrongdoing company does not fit my moral standards. My opinion and now the legal understanding of the consequences would put me in a place where I would ensure that I maintained accountability and provided the information needed to result in a proper legal outcome in any private dispute?
