As a strategic planner, I am going to explain to the CEO of a Doctor's Office the factors they must consider when deciding the resources that should be devoted to a new facility project. Different stages of the facility planning process usually demand different levels of information when it comes to space planning (hayward, 2016). A comparison between the current space allocation, the current space need (based on the workload, equipment, staffing, and other factors), and the future space need should be made using the footprint of each department (hayward, 2016). I can still break down what we think will be needed for the project, even if the thorough, room-by-room space programming is not usually done at the facility master planning stage since it requires a significant amount of staff time and energy that is inappropriate for all departments (hayward, 2016). With 3 providers, we will need ample staff to support them, having to see at least 12 patients a day. Therefore, we will need to ensure that we have the correct space to accommodate this patient volume
