Krystal is a student in Mrs. Baker's preschool class. Krystal presents many challenges in the classroom. She has difficulty interacting with her peers appropriately in the classroom. She prefers to play by herself and when approached by other students she will yell and tell them to go away. Outside, Krystal prefers rough play, often pushing and knocking other children down. Krystal has also been heard using improper language, often cursing at the other students.
Krystal lives with her mom and is the oldest of four siblings. Krystal's dad is currently in jail due to domestic violence. Mom has stated that Dad is very controlling and does not like it when Krystal misbehaves at home. Mom reports that Krystal yells at her younger siblings and has locked them in their room in the past. Mom also reports that Krystal has been aggressive towards her in the past as well. She will push and kick Mom when she is upset. Mom is struggling with her behavior at home. Mom moved here with Dad and has no family support in the area. Dad's parents (Krystal's grandparents) are local, but since he was arrested, they have had no contact with the family.
