I find as with a global business environment, the organizations with top talent typically have GSD and can manage projects quite effectively. Cultural differences not only apply to GSD but to local teams as dev work is quite often multicultural. The seasoned professional knows how to accommodate this and pivot the collaboration to best meet each of the team members skills.
