As someone who works in the defense industry as a quality engineer, the two innovations I have experienced the most of would be the structure and process. Structure innovations in my company attract top talent in the field of operations - I am an example of it. My company offers a unique rotational program where I spend three years moving around the company in different jobs surrounding quality, production, and supply chain. Our competitors don't offer anything similar and it benefits my career because I get to see different areas of the company, work with people from all over the country, and develop my skills. I am nearing the end of my program and I see the company truly values this program and those who go through it. Process innovations are expected in most manufacturing firms like mine. As a quality engineer, we are always trying to improve the efficiency of the builds, lower costs, and develop the next big tech. This company is one where innovations regarding how we do processes is encouraged - in fact after working 6 months in this particular role I had an idea to improve a process and leadership worked with me to implement
