As studied in class, we examined the case of the so-called Bacha Posh in Afghanistan and how this arrangement was very much accepted by Afghan society in order for families to avoid shame of not having boys. The segment that we saw, however, did not take into account the perspective of the girls in the long run.The Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, realizes this and asks you to design a randomized controlled trial in order to study the long-run well-being of the Bacha Posh. Considering that your input will help shape policy, how would you go about in designing and implementing such an RCT?
