As the Head of Sales for the Athletics Department, you have been asked to take charge of "selling" the event to the public (tickets and other "group packages").Your team also has the opportunity to sell sports marketing packages to local area businesses.

The Lackawanna College Student Union is ahistoriclandmark which has recently beentransformed into astate-of-the-art sports facility.

Using all your knowledge and tools from the class, construct a sales plan to fill the arena and market the event to sponsors.

First, complete some research. At minimum:

• Look into the facility
  • How many tickets can you probably sell?
  • What is unique or marketable about the location?
  • How can you incorporate marketing/sponsorship into the physical location?
• Look into the tournament
  • What type of people typically attend a basketball tournament?
  • What has attendance looked like in the past?
• Look into potential clients
  • Business vs. consumer.
