As the hiring manager at my establishment I have to make sure I hire someone who fits our company well to maintain our customers and be profitable. Working in a gas station you have to be polite, friendly, and able to handle money. Over the last 8 weeks I have a better understanding of attracting candidates for a position. Such as having a good brand image. Someone don't want to work for a place who's reputation is not good. Also offering some type of compensation and benefits, because it helps having something to sweeten the deal. If someone applies for multiple different organizations it will help make yours stand out above the others. I also learned you have to offer certain types of benefits depending on the generational group you are trying to reach. Offering student loan help for an older person who didn't have student loans would not help you bring them in. Maintaining a competitive pay rate is also important too. And using webs to help reach potential recruits such as LinkedIn and Indeed. These help to be able to post certain job requirements, expectations, and benefits so people are able to know if they can handle working
