As the owner of MV. Veronique under a voyage charter party to load coal from Busan and discharge at Douala. Below is information from SOF from both loading and discharge ports.

Required:

Compile a detailed time sheet and calculate demurrage or dispatch due based on a reversible laytime contract, Average laytime and compare what the situation shall be under a normal laytime contract.

Charter party provisions:

Laytime to commence at 1300 hours if notice is given before noon, at 0800 hours next working day if given after noon. Notice to be given in ordinary working hours. (0800 - 1700 hours Monday to Friday)

Cargo to be loaded at the rate of 20,000 mts per 24 consecutive hour weather working day and discharged at 15,000 mts per day of 24 consecutive hour weather permitting.

Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays inclusive.

Demurrage rate USD 5,000.00 per day pro rata/ Despatch at half demurrage rate on laytime saved.(DHD)

Load Port

Arrived New Orleans 0700 hours Wednesday 13thMay.

NOR Tendered and accepted 1100 Hours Wednesday 13th May.

Loading commenced 1500 hours Wednesday 13thMay.

Thursday 14th May, it rained from 0600 1100 Hours.

Friday 15th May, cargo handling gear broke down in the port from 0900 1100 Hours. It rained from 1700 1900 hours.

Saturday 16th May, It rained from 0800 1100 hours, there was cargo work from 1200 1700 hours.

Tuesday 19th May was a holiday. It rained from 0900 1400 hours.

Loading completed 1100 hours Thursday 21st May

Vessel sailed 1300 Hours Thursday 21st May.

The vessels sailing was delayed for 2 hours due to the next available high water.

Cargo Loaded 40,000mt of bulk coal.

Discharge Port.

Arrived at Tema 0700 hours Wednesday 3rd July

NOR Tendered and accepted 1400 Hours Wednesday 3rd July

Discharging commenced 0800 hours Thursday 4th July

Thursday 4th July cargo handling gear broke down in the port from 0900 1100 Hours.

Friday 5th July, it rained from 0600 1100 Hours and from 1700 1900 hours.

Wednesday 10th July was a holiday

Discharging completed 1400 hours Thursday 11th July

Vessel sailed 1530 Hours Thursday 11th July.

The vessels sailing was delayed for 2.5 hours due to the next available high water.

Cargo discharged 40,000mt of bulk coal.
