As the second oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball , Wrigley Field , built in 1914 , is a gem of a ballpark that has deep history in Chicago and Major League Baseball . However , over the years the stadium has been late to modernize the stadium with the times (Balkin , 2014 , p. 213 ). Known issues with the old stadium are insufficient ADA compliant seating and poor accessibility, inadequate restroom facilities, lack of concession options , transportation to and from the stadium , and lack of modern amenities for those in attendance As new stadiums are erected across America , we have taken note of what was successful and how we can deliver a better experience for our fans at Wrigley Field . The Chicago Cubs organization are happy with the renovations completed with the 1060 Project and believe the fans will also be happy with the completed renovations . Some of our renovations include expanded concession options available , added and improved restroom facilities , and installed two video boards (Roberts , 2016 , p.14). With the 1060 project complete , the executive administrators would like your feedback on your fan experience when supporting your cubbies at Wrigley Field home games . The goal of the renovation project was to bring much needed upgrades to the park for the fans and players while preserving the beautiful historic features that define Wrigley Field (The 1060 Project , n.d.).
