As was brought up in and earlier post, while DNA provides a significant investigative tool for law enforcement, it has also shown that many innocent people have been falsely convicted. Many of these cases involve eyewitness identification. Recently the Innocence Project has agreed to review the Scott Peterson case. Peterson was convicted in 2004 for the murder of his pregnant wife, Laci, and their unborn son, Conner. He was sentenced to death in 2005. What is the Innocence Project?
